Deep Overbite Correction with VENLAY® Testimonial

His jaw appears to be larger and when you see the jaw position in relation to the bottom line in the photo, it is evident that there is more room for his tongue, he breathes easier, and his lips are aligned with a masculine chiseled chin.  As he ages, he will look younger than other people the same age because he is the right jaw position for his facial structure and they don’t.  This treatment is a full mouth reconstruction that was done completely non-invasively, without shots, without anesthesia, without surgery or braces, which is truly remarkable.  Dr. Muslin is the only dentist with the skills, experience, and technology necessary for JawTrac®, VENLAY® bite restoration and the Face Lift Dentistry® Method.

What is an Overbite?

An Overbite is when the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth when the patient bites their teeth together. When the patient closes they teeth together, the lower jaw is pushed back towards the patient’s ears, which reduces the size of the airway. Breathing is more difficult when a patient’s jaw is recessed back from an overbite which makes the size of the airway a little smaller.

Deep Overbite Close-up. Back teeth not touching.
120% Deep Overbite. His molar teeth don't touch because his anterior teeth are contacting too hard. This is called a posterior open bite and an anterior overbite combination health problem. A lot of health problems exist when a patient has an overbite including headaches, neck pain and teeth clenching and grinding.

Problems with Overbites

This patient’s upper teeth overlap his lower teeth so much that his lower teeth are touching the gums behind his upper teeth.  He has a very deep overbite that is impacting his health causing stress and tension along with misaligned jaws.

Some patients get headaches, clench and grind more, have TMJ pain and small looking chins.  As we age, the bite gets worse until the patient is forced to correct the overbite but the traditional dentistry overbite correction methods are highly invasive and can take years and end up with a disappointing ending.

Our non-invasive method is revolutionary because it has such low risk and stunning cosmetic results.

The lower jaw and chin are not in the most ideal position for his bone structure. The chin is pushed back by the overbite. The airway is smaller and there is less room for his tongue.

Cosmetic Dentistry and Overbite Correction

His upper teeth are slanted back and his lower jaw closes too far reducing tongue space and the size of his airway.  Cosmetic dentistry is typically just porcelain veneers on the upper teeth and this kind of treatment has no functional value.  He would still have a posterior open bite and an anterior deep overbite if he saw a cosmetic dentist for veneers.  Smile type of dentistry usually harms your health when the cosmetic dentist cuts down your teeth with a dental drill.  The reason our method is so revolutionary is that it uses high tech solutions to solve a physical problem without being destructive to the teeth.

Does the Overbite Effect the shape of the Face?

Yes, when a patient has an overbite the face has a round shape and the lower 1/3 of the face is shorter and out of proportion with the rest of the face.  JawTrac® holds the secret to moving his jaw to make his chin look larger and the shape of his face to be in balance proportionally.  The greatest advantage is the level of self-confidence with his new physicality.

What Happens With An Overbite?

The lower jaw is pushed back because his lower teeth contact the back of his upper teeth when he closes his teeth together during sleep, chewing and athletically. The overbite causes the shape of the face to be too short, his upper lip is in front of his lower lip and he will age prematurely if the overbite is not corrected.  Patients with deep overbites age faster and have grumpy faces because they have lost the facial support that the ideal jaw position can provide.

How Can VENLAY® Bite Restoration Solve Deep Overbites?

The VENLAY® bite restoration solves overbite problems by three-dimensionally positioning the lower jaw with JawTrac®.  JawTrac® is the jaw position part of the treatment and it is a quick and painless process that our patients enjoy.  Our patients get to experience the new jaw position before we work on their teeth that is a fairly significant advantage over other methods.  The VENLAY® Bite Restoration solves the deep overbite problem by moving the lower jaw more forward which opens up the airway.  It also reverses the effects of the aging process and helps the patient have normal body functions as sleeping, eating, speaking and relaxing.   Our male patients have a more masculine chiseled chin and our female patients have improved facial proportions.

His upper teeth overlap his lower teeth so much that his lower teeth are touching the gums behind his upper teeth, and his molars are not touching at all making eating a more difficult task.

How do VENLAY® Restorations Work?

Braces move the teeth but are limited on how far they can be moved.  It takes a lot of time for braces to work.  VENLAY® Restorations work by adding to the shapes and sizes of the teeth to get the jaw in the right position.  Instead of moving the teeth with braces with questionable results we improve the sizes and shapes of the teeth with VENLAY® Restorations that are bonded over the teeth using a high tech bonding method.  If traditional bonding is used, the results will usually be very disappointing.  Most cases are completed in about a month and VENLAY® Restorations can provide bite correction benefits that are not possible with braces and do it by preserving all of your health tooth enamel.

Out of State and International Patients?

We see patients from all over the world because this treatment does not require drilling away your healthy teeth, is very quick, nearly pain-free and it usually only takes two plane flights separated by 3 weeks.  Dr. Sam Muslin will personally design and create your new bite and face for every one of his patients.

What is a VENLAY®?

It is a high tech porcelain restoration that is individually handmade and designed by the inventor of the restoration, Dr. Sam Muslin.  Patients eat, floss and brush normally as they are “super bonded” to your teeth and become part of your untouched healthy teeth.  Your teeth get a new protective porcelain layer over the outside and over the biting surface that makes them whiter and much less sensitive to temperature.  A VENLAY® is a porcelain restoration that is custom designed for every tooth and for every bite and jaw position using JawTrac®.

Improve your Facial Profile

Overbite correction is possible with JawTrac® because the jaw position is the single most critical element with the VENLAY® Bite Restoration that uses the Face-lift Dentistry® Method.  Cosmetic Dentistry and porcelain veneers cannot match results like this patient received.  One of our patients said recently, “All the other dentists just guess and Dr. Muslin is the only one that knows”.  She had major problems with a full mouth reconstruction dentist and drove over 1,000 miles to receive this method.

His jawline is improved along with the shape of his face. He can breath better and patients usually sleep better because the airway is larger and there is more room for his tongue.

Can Braces Help Instead of VENLAY®?

The answer to this question is yes. But, can braces get results like this? We doubt that this could be accomplished and it would take several years with questionable stability. With VENLAY® the teeth are stable right where they are and with braces, the teeth tend to relapse. The patient refuses to wear braces at this stage of his life and got this result of a non-invasive full mouth reconstruction in about a month.

Cost Estimate

Every single patient we see is totally different.  Each individual requires individualized custom designed porcelain, jaw position expertise and years of experience to provide this method.  Most people spend on average around $90k for their entire mouth while others spend around $45k for half of the mouth.  To put this in perspective, we are treating 28 teeth, and not just 8 porcelain veneers, plus we are building a new bite.  The Face Lift Dentistry® method is far more complex than cosmetic dentistry so our patients are getting value that improves their appearance and function everywhere they go with every patient they meet.

Done in a Month

Our patients can get their life improved in just about one month’s time.  They fly in for a consultation and if they choose to do so, they start the “work up” and JawTrac® testing.  Some are so excited, they stay a few days longer and begin the treatment and return 3 weeks later to finish.  There is no recovery time and you will be treated by the Master of the Face Lift Dentistry® Method. It is only available in Santa Monica California.  As one of our patient recently said, “It was way easier to get on a plane than to make a mistake with another cosmetic dentist.”
